Throughout play, please observe the etiquette of golf as printed in The
Rules of Golf.
1. All visitors will play from the yellow tees (Ladies red).
2. All boundaries of the course are OOB. Access to surrounding property
is strictly prohibited.
3. We expect all visitors to respect the course and repair pitch marks
on greens, replace divots, and rake bunkers. Rakes should be left inside
bunkers.
4. Greens staff have priority on the course.
Only wide wheel trolleys are allowed on the course, and all players should
follow the routes indicated around the course. Buggies and ride on carts
or trolleys are only allowed in the case of the disabled and only by prior
arrangement with the Hon. Sec.
No posters or signs may be erected anywhere on the premises of the Club
or on the course without prior arrangement with the Hon. Sec.
No liability can be accepted for any articles left unattended on the premises
or in the car park.
Visitors are asked to take all reasonable precautions.
Visitors must use the Visitors Car Park at all times.
Unless prior arrangements have been made, all green fees should be paid
to the professional before play commences and a receipt obtained.
All players should possess a bona fide Golf Club or Society handicap and
should be able to produce these if requested. It is expected that all
players are of a reasonable standard and will not hold up play unduly.
Medal rounds are only permitted by special arrangement.
Organisers are asked to choose a format to encourage continuous play.
All accounts for services should be settled on the day of the visit unless
prior arrangements have been made.
Recognised golf attire must be worn, knee-length stockings or plain white
sports socks for gentlemen when wearing shorts. Headgear to be worn in
the correct manner (i.e. not back to front). Gentlemen's shirts to be
worn inside trousers. Trousers should not be tucked into socks. No beach
shorts, track suits, shell suits, denim wear, T shirts, training shoes,
plimsolls. Changing in the car park, except shoes, is not allowed.
A jacket and tie must be worn by Gentlemen in the dining room after 7
pm. Recognised golf attire, including shorts, may be worn in the Rowbotham
Lounge at any time. Recognised golf attire may be worn elsewhere in the
Clubhouse until 7 pm.
No headgear, beach shorts, track suits, shell suits, denim wear, T shirts,
waterproof clothing, golf shoes (spiked, soft or dimpled) or training
shoes, may be worn in any of the public rooms, except the Cocktail Lounge
where soft spiked and dimpled shoes will be permitted. No member or guest
must enter the Lounges or Dining Room at any time wearing soiled or wet
clothes in which they have played golf.
The unauthorised use of mobile phones in the Club House or on the course
is prohibited.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARTY ORGANISER
TO ENSURE THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE AWARE IN ADVANCE OF THESE RULES SINCE
THE MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INSIST THAT ANYONE NOT COMPLYING
WITH THESE DRESS RULES LEAVES THE COURSE OR CLUB HOUSE
